Rundown: Any Paul Thomas Anderson movie, like Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, There Will be Blood or Inherent Vice, is something to be paid attention to even if they do not always land in a satisfying way. We're looking at you Inherent Vice. And any movie with a Daniel Day Lewis performance is something to be cherished because they don’t come around that often.

So to have this movie, about a dressmaker in 1950s Britain come out in New York and LA last November but not being able to see it until the latter half of January is irritating.

Rundown: We begin a new series of deep-dives into older stories that we love. This week we are pleased to talk about Star Trek: Voyager and welcome the person who convinced us to talk about it, Alexandra August. As one of our Star Trek: Discovery contributors, you know she's a huge Star Trek fan, writer for Geek Magazine as well as host of my favorite Game of Thrones podcast, GOT Thrones,  and the new DiscoTrek.

Rundown: Earlier this year, director Steven Spielberg read a spec script by 31-year-old Liz Hannah about the Pentagon Papers and The Washington Post’s decision to publish those papers after a court injunction. He dropped everything he was doing and started filming, because he knew how timely it was. The movie, called appropriately enough The Post, stars Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Bob Odenkirk and a bunch of other actors that make you say, “Hey! Isn’t that actor from BREAKING BAD, MR SHOW, FARGO, etc?”

Rundown: In this episode, we’re starting our year-end wrap-up with our top 10 stories of 2017. Sort of. Like everything in Hollywood, we’re all about sequels and world building, so we will share 5 of our favorite stories in this episode, and another 5 stories later this week. I know what you’re thinking, “Ummm, top 10 stories,” what the hell does that mean? First of all, watch your goddamn mouth. Second, because we like to talk about all kinds of stories on this podcast, we like to mix movies, TV, books and podcasts all together in one list.
