Rundown: We return now to the old west, and examine the state of the modern western and our reactions to Anton Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven, starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt. We then dive into two of the greatest TV shows of all time, which just started their new seasons… Family Guy and the PJs. Now, really we’re talking about season 20 of South Park and the 28th season of The Simpsons. Then we have a talk about modern movie soundtracks, stemming from a thoughtful video on music in Marvel movies. Can you hum Captain America’s theme?

And finally we talk about our favorite headlines, and I give you the to do list we promised last week about how it win your own Emmy.

Show Rundown: On this week’s episode we talk about who won, who lost and why we should care about the Primetime Emmy Awards, which were just announced last night. Then we move on to talk about our first bona fide chick flick, the third film in the Bridget Jones series, Bridget Jones Baby… it’s a poorly named film about a Brazilian man named Foxy Smith who gets a cat named Switchblade… or maybe it’s about Renee Zellweger's character from the first two Bridget Jones movies. We’ll all find out together. Then we’ll follow up on last week’s interview with the crew behind The Prequels Strike Back: A Fan’s Journey, and give our reviews for the Bradley Weatherholt’s Star Wars prequel documentary. All that, and our favorite, or in this case, my least favorite headline ever to appear on this show… all that coming up.
