Show Rundown: On today’s show we’re going to be talking about awards, and the ridiculous exercise of giving awards to artistic achievements as though they were trophies at the end of a baseball season. You can’t score La La Land or Manchester by the Sea like box scores. Totally unrelated, we’re going to talk about the Golden Globes, which were given out last night, and the Writers Guild Awards, whose nominations came out, and how to make the Golden Globes not quite so ridiculous.
